I have particular interest in mining archives, threading stories, and tracing or copying to understand human impacts on water, climate change and Earth. I use historical maps and documents, text, and people’s stories to create conceptual drawings and participatory installation. I’m interested in the role of written words in constructing thoughts and systems, and I use them as a thread to pull viewers into thinking, imagining, and reimagining. My work meditates on the interconnectedness of our world, inviting viewers to reflect on our lifestyles, histories, relationships, and the legacy of colonialism to our environment.
