Born in Tokyo, Japan. Based in Waltham, Massachusetts. She is a recipient of many grants including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2015, Massachusetts Cultural Council in 2006 (Drawing/Printmaking/Artists Books) and 2001 (Sculpture and Installation,) and Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation (2013 & 2004.) In 2017, Suzuki was awarded a research residency at Tokyo Wonder Site Residency in Japan where she explored ankyo, buried rivers in Tokyo for a month.
Her solo exhibits include University of Massachusetts Lowell, Lesley University College of Art and Design, and Kiznick Gallery at Brandeis University. She was the Artist-in-Residence at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in 2016, and currently showing her work at the Broad Institute until the end of the summer. Suzuki continues to work on her project at the Broad Institute as a visiting researcher in 2017.
Suzuki received MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 1997.
